EMBED Multiplier Events Across Three Countries
As part of the EMBED project, four Multiplier Events were organised across Italy, Greece, and Spain, bringing together stakeholders, educators, IT professionals, and other professionals working to support people with disabilities.
The events provided an opportunity to present the project’s results, discuss its practical applications, and encourage networking and future cooperation.
During the events Project information and outcomes were shared, including the project’s key resources, methodologies, and educational tools.
Greece – Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
On 28 August 2024, a Multiplier Event was organised at the School of Sciences of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The event brought together 21 participants, including educators working with people with disabilities and IT professionals interested in digital accessibility.
Professor Alvanos, EMBED project manager and researcher, presented the project and its results, including its main deliverables and sustainability perspectives. Printed materials were also distributed. Participants showed particular interest in how the project could contribute to supporting people with mobility impairments and improving their employment opportunities.
Italy – MV International
MV International organised two Multiplier Events in Sassari, held on 18 July and 15 October 2024, with a total of 27 participants.
The events presented the EMBED project, focusing on the challenges faced by people with disabilities in the labour market and the project’s developed outputs. The sessions also provided space for discussion and exchange among participants.
Greece – Innovation Frontiers
On 7 August 2024, Innovation Frontiers organised a Multiplier Event in Athens, reaching 25 participants.
Following an introduction to the EMBED project and its results, particular attention was given to the Web Platform and the non-formal education (NFE) methodologies developed to support new skills acquisition. Participants also contributed to discussions on promoting more inclusive employment practices.
Spain – Rising Pixel
On 25 July 2024, Rising Pixel held a Multiplier Event in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with 26 participants.
The event placed particular emphasis on the EMBED Handbook and the “Code Maze” educational game, presenting these resources and exploring their potential for supporting learning and skills development.
Through these Multiplier Events, EMBED reached stakeholders in different national contexts, strengthened awareness of its results, and created opportunities for continued cooperation around inclusive employment, accessibility, and skills development for people with disabilities.
