About

The EMBED project is a groundbreaking initiative with the primary goal of enhancing the employability of Adults with physical disabilities in the IT sector. To accomplish this central objective, EMBED has outlined specific goals, including the strengthening of competencies among participating adults with physical disabilities to mitigate high unemployment within the target group. Additionally, the project aims to empower adult educators working with this demographic by providing them with concrete educational tools tailored to the unique needs of adults with physical disabilities. The comprehensive approach involves a thorough research phase on the educational and employability needs of the target group, leading to the development of a Training Format based on non-formal education (NFE) and game-based learning to impart essential IT skills. The impact of the project is evident in the creation of the EMBED Handbook, which incorporates the Training Format, and the development of the EMBED Educational Game, offering a game-based learning course in Javascript programming languages. The initiative not only addresses the unemployment challenge but also ensures increased competencies and knowledge among the project's stakeholders, including staff members, adult educators, and the adults with physical disabilities engaged in EMBED's activities. The project stands as a holistic and transformative approach toward fostering inclusivity and empowerment in the IT sector.
